The EFL project brings together 11 research teams from Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC). Research activities are organized in seven collaborative strands corresponding to the strengths of the consortium.
The five vertical strands each represent a new challenge: (1) Complexity of phonetics and phonology with a reinforcement of empirical approaches, (2) Experimental grammar in a cross-linguistic perspective, (3) Typology and dynamics of linguistic systems; (4) Representation and language processing in a “lifespan” perspective (5) Computational semantic analysis.
The two transversal strands (Linguistic Resources, Experimental Methods) allow the sharing and creation of resources (lexicons, corpora, databases), methods and platforms. Playing a crucial role for the project as a whole, these transversal strands will promote scientific progress and innovation through the development of the corresponding best practices.
